Wayne Krantz, renowned jazz guitarist (Donald Fagen, the Brecker Bros, Steely Dana), was in Dubway’s live room cutting tracks for his new album with compatriots Owen Biddle (The Roots), Nate Wood, and Henry Hey. The sessions fully substantiated The New Yorker’s description of Mr. Krantz as “A talented guitarist with a boundless imagination.” Mike Judeh and Stephen Schappler engineered the sessions.

Maria Logis was putting the finishing touches on her album, which was recorded live at Dubway by Joe Barbaria (Talking Heads, 10,000 Maniacs, Reggie Workman, The Cars, John Patitucci). Jon Cowherd, Maria’s longtime pianist and collaborator, is producing the sessions, enlisting performances by Justin Flynn, Helen Yee, Pete Smith, Carlo De Rosa, Dan Rieser, and Makaria Psiliteli. Dubway’s John Thayer assisted.

D.D. Jackson produced live tracks for the Korean pop stars Sweet Sorrow. Anthony Gibney assisted engineer Marcelo Anez.

Congratulations to Liz Swados, longtime musical & theatrical maven, and Dubway friend, on the release of her book "Waiting: Selected Non-Fiction." And Peter Miller, of Willow Pond Films, tracked music for his film called "Sosúa: Dare to Dance Together," a documentary about the making of the musical (directed by Liz Swados) uniting Latino and Jewish teens in Washington Heights. Composer Jeremy Yang, of Silencio, spent several days during his NYC visit from Australia, to develop and present audio design to two of his advertising clients.

Guitarist Marc Ciprut (Joss Stone, Steven Santoro) also spent a day at Dubway, recording a full band for his upcoming cd release.
